My Sheri Crafts #86- Summer Lovin'

Hey Diva's!! It is a BEAUTIFUL Saturday around here and I am LOVING this Sun, It is truly taking me back to GA and you guys know how much I miss Ol'  GA!!

I am here to let you all know that TODAY marks the beginning of a New Challenge over @ My Sheri Crafts (*insert Jumping Up and Down Here*), and for this Bi-Weekly Challenge we are showin our Summer Love with Cards/projects!

This week we are joined by the Talented Barb O. of Bug Bites I kindly ask that you all stop by her Blog and go check out her Creations and leave her some Bloggy Love. Thank You Barb for joining us we Truly Apprecitate it!

Ok now For my Challenge Project I decided to make a Card:

Inside Sentiment Reads: "Enjoy the Summer"

Recipe:
Cartridge: Create a Critter
Paper: From My Stash
Ink: Memento ( Tuxedo Black)
Distress Ink: Tim Holtz

Let me tell you that this card has truly put me in the mood for the Summer! I am not a Huge Fan of the Beach ( I don't like the Mess that comes along with it, plus I don't like how the water/sand feel on my feet ewwww so I keep sandals on the whole time, lol Issues I know) but the Crew Members LOVE it so I don't force my opinions on them so I have to suck it up and Have a Great Day with them!!

But Anyway...now that I have shared my Card with you I ask that you all will Stop By My Sheri Crafts  and go check out the rest of the DT's Projects ( So steenkn Cute btw) and then come join us with YOUR take on this Summer Lovin Challenge!

I can't wait to see what you all come up with I know it's gonna be Rocking!! Ok well after all the Summer and Beach talk the Crew has come in here asking can we go to the Beach and just because I want to go out and Enjoy this Sun I think I'm gonna go ahead and give in lol ( hey you never know what the weather is gonna be like here so you better take advantage of it when you got it)!!

Teacher Appreciation Week- Day 1

Hey Diva's! So I meant to have this post up this morning but Last night the Crew and I (hubster included) all got Food Poison eeckk! We had Fish,Rice, and Corn on the Cob we Eat rice all the time and I don't eat Corn on the cob so we are thinking it was the fish. Needless to say we all went to the ER this morning and the Doctor confirmed it for us so we have been bed ridin all day. I needed to get this post up though, so while Im feeling a little better I decided to jump on while I had the energy.

So for us this week is Teacher Appreciation Week and I wanted to do something Special for my Girls Teachers. As you all know I have talked about their teachers ALOT because I think they are the Bestest (yes I know that's not correct) Ever! So I made a project for Everyday just to tell them Thank You for all they Do.

Each day Mon-Fri this week I will have a post showcasing each project. For todays project (which they didn't get to take since they were home sick) I made:

Easel Cards:

Recipe:
Cart Used: Create a Critter
Cuttlebug Folder: Spots and Dots
Sentiment: My Creative Time ( My Teacher Rocks)
Peachy Keen Stamps (Critter Faces, Med and Lrg Set)
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black)

I think the cards came out Really Adorable and I just can't wait to give it to them. Ok so my soup has arrived, so I'm gonna go eat as much as I can.

Hope you all will stop in the Rest of the week to check all the rest of the Projects!

This Week's Theme is "All for Teachers" we were asked to make projects/gifts for Teachers. I was really excited about this one as I feel the Crew Members have some Really GREAT Teachers this year. As a Parent I think that my kids Education is soooo Important and it just warms my heart when kids have teachers who Really have passion for what they do and their only desire is to see the kids Learning and Prospering! I can truly say that my Crew Members really have those types of Teachers this year and we are BLESSED!!

I had some cupcake picks left over from my friends son's birthday party I had made for her and that's where the "Rockstar" cupcake came in I had this stamp that I had bought from michael's about 6mts ago that I always wanted to use but never had the chance so it was perfect! My cupcake and glasses are both cut from Create a Critter and I embossed the cupcake w/ my cuttlebug using the Robotz folder. The guitar is cut from Life's a Party, I used American Crafts and Bazzill for all my paper.

Sewing Project.

So after seeing a tutorial by Cristi Burton over @ scrappin 5 little cupcakes on Made it Myself Mondays over @ youhadme@craft.com (both are awesome blogs you guys have to check out!). I decided to pull my sewing machine out and try again since I haven't done anything on it since the last sewing project http://divaof5.blogspot.com/2011/05/little-sewing.html. I like how it turned out and I had fun doing it and Tae'lor likes it so really that's all that matters but I am going to try and use my machine more because I am not 100% and I am sort of a perfectionist so EVERYTHING has to Perfect down to the last little detail.

Just like Cristi I started w/ a plain tanktop I bought from Walmart.

I cute some images out on my Cricut using the Create a Critter cartridge.
This is after my first layer of ruffle! Not to bad I guess and btw I followed Cristi's tutorial almost exactly it was really easy.

This is my final project! Like I said Tae'lor loves it and she keeps asking me can she wear it so that makes me feel GREAT! Once again go check Cristi out @ Scrappin 5 little cupcakes for the full tutorial on how to make this cute little tank/dress.

Baby Boy Card

Well Guys I think I'm getting the hang of it (and having fun in the process). I was invited to a baby shower over the weekend so I decided to try my luck @ another card. Tell me what you think.

I used Create a Critter cart for my turtle he was cut @ 3" on my Cricut E2. The cloud was cut also from CAC @ 2". My sentiment is from Michaels it was in the Dollar bin. I found the Ribbon @ Walmart (both) my background paper is from Recollections Pet Paper Pack.

I took the rest of my scrap paper and added a little pocket on the back for a gift card. The gift card ended up fitting perfectly inside.

Im actually Really PROUD of this card, so proud that I am going to enter it in over @ Alex's blog http://www.youhadmeatcraft.com/ for her Made it Myself Monday Linking Party!
